The District Chief Executive Hon. Olivia Bentil handed over 600 school desks to the District Education Service Directorate

The District Chief Executive Hon. Olivia Bentil handed over 600 school desks to the District Education Service Directorate as part of efforts to improve the learning environment and strengthen furniture provision in schools across the district.

The consignment comprises 300 mono desks and 300 dual desks which will be distributed to selected schools within the district based on identified needs.

The handover ceremony was attended by officials of the District Education Directorate as well as headteachers from some of the beneficiary schools who were present to receive the furniture on behalf of their respective institutions.

The initiative forms part of the Assembly's commitment to supporting education and ensuring that pupils and teachers have access to a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.

The desks are expected to help address furniture shortages in beneficiary schools and enhance the overall learning experience for pupils.
