DCE Hon. Olivia Bentil Commissions Four Mechanized Boreholes to Improve Access to Potable Water

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Olivia Bentil has commissioned Four mechanized borehole projects at four locations within the district as part of efforts to improve access to potable water and enhance the well-being of residents.

The projects are located at Nankese, Brakwa Eshiem, Odoben Senior High School (SHS), and Kuntenease and are expected to provide reliable access to clean and safe water for residents and students in the beneficiary communities.

The commissioning of the boreholes forms part of the Assembly’s commitment to addressing water challenges within the district and improving access to essential social amenities.

At Odoben SHS, the mechanized borehole is expected to support the school community by providing a more dependable source of water for students, staff, and other activities. Similarly, residents of Nankese, Brakwa Eshiem, and Kuntenease are expected to benefit from improved access to potable water.

Speaking during the commissioning activities, the DCE emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to implementing projects that respond to the basic needs of communities and contribute to improving living conditions across the district.

Residents and beneficiary institutions have expressed appreciation for the projects and called for their proper maintenance to ensure that the facilities continue to serve the communities for years to come.
