Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District Assembly Hosts Nationwide Next Generation Leadership Training Programme

The Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District Assembly hosted a two-day Nationwide Next Generation Leadership Training Programme aimed at strengthening the leadership capacity and effectiveness of Assembly Members.

The training programme, held on 13th and 14th August 2026 at the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District Assembly Hall, was organised by the Institute of Local Government Studies (ILGS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs (MLGCRA).

The programme brought together Assembly Members as part of a nationwide initiative designed to enhance leadership and governance at the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assembly (MMDA) level.

The training provided an important platform for Assembly Members to deepen their understanding of their leadership responsibilities and to strengthen their capacity to contribute effectively to local governance and development.
