To support good hygiene and encourage our hardworking young women, the Hon Olivia Bentil (DCE) started giving out free sanitary pads to apprentices and skilled workers in Breman Asikuma.

The Hon DCE visited some shops where young women work, including hairdressers, beauticians, dressmakers, seamstresses and those learning catering. These shops are located on Mbraa, Ekumfi, Apaa and Aniehu streets in the Askuma township.

She stressed that the distribtution is not just about giving pads, it’s also about showing care, breaking the shame around periods and helping these young women feel proud and confident in their work.

She further promised to continue visiting more shops in the coming days.
