After years of frustration and massive pothole-ridden commutes, residents of Jamra are finally seeing signs of progress as the contractor moves to the site to begin work on the long-deplorable Jamra Road after an engagement and inspection with Ghana Highway Authority.
The road, which has been a source of daily hardship for motorists and pedestrians alike, is now set for a major facelift. On Thursday morning November 6th 2025, heavy machinery rolled onto the site, signaling the official start of rehabilitation work by the appointed contractor.
Local residents, who have endured years of poor road conditions marked by erosion, stagnant water, and near-impassable sections during the rainy season, expressed cautious optimism.
Community leaders urged residents to cooperate with construction crews and remain patient during the period of disruption.
This long-awaited development marks a turning point for the of Jamra, promising smoother rides.
